CLOTHES-PINS                                                      STORY LINE

1. Romeo and Juliet: In the city of Verona there were two families – the Montagues and Capulets. They hated each other. They were enemies. They had a feud. They had been feuding so long they couldn’t remember why. The Montagues had a handsome son named Romeo and the Capulets had a beautiful daughter named Juliet.
2. Red Heart: One night at a party, Romeo and Juliet met and fell in love. They had to keep it a secret because of the feud! KISS!
3. Star: They were star-crossed lovers.
4. Wedding Rings: Romeo and Juliet secretly got married.
5. Romeo: One day Juliet’s cousin challenged Romeo to a duel because of the feud. Romeo killed him, then had to flee. (pin Romeo at the far distant end of the line).
6. Bottle of sleeping potent: Juliet’s father wanted her to marry the neighbor, but she loved Romeo. Juliet had an idea. She sent a secret message to Romeo:

   Dear Romeo,

   I love you.

   I’m going to drink a sleeping potent and pretend to be dead.

   Hurry! Come quickly and get me!

   Love, Juliet

7. Newspaper Headline: BUT – the message did not reach Romeo. Instead he heard that Juliet had died.
8. Bottle of Poison: Romeo rushed back. He thought Juliet was dead. He couldn’t live without her. His heart was broken. He drank poison and killed himself.
9. Knife: Suddenly Juliet woke up. Saw Romeo dead beside her. She didn’t want to live without him, so killed herself with a knife.
10. After the deaths of Romeo and Juliet, the families stopped feuding and became friends.
